- Avoid traffic: plan ahead your trip to avoid traffic. You will be able to avoid stress and save some money…

- Fill your tank only when it is necessary: you use less gas and increase your mileage because less weight increase your mileage (yes, gas is heavy!)

- Use other types of transportation: bus, tramway, trolley, subway, walk,…

- Be careful with your tires: make sure they are well inflated and aligned. It could save you up to 10% of energy.

- Change oil regularly: you should change oil every 3,000 miles or every 6 months. Then, you can keep you car alive longer…

- Change Air filters: again, if you keep your car efficient, you save more gas and more money…

- Gadgets are useless: you feel that the next gadget you saw on tv could help you save 20% on gas, that’s b…s…! Save money and gas on this one…

- Remove all ice: there is no need to use your windshield to remove ice after a cold night, clear the ice before using your car…

- Acceleration: there is no point about seeing how fast you can get from 0 to 60 even if it sounds cool…

- Use your A/C accordingly: if it is warm enough outside, there is no point about using your A/C. You should save gas using A/C accordingly!

Anywhere in the world and especially in the United States, to drive your own vehicle, you need to take your own car insurance. Auto Insurance pricing may vary according to the state, age, if you had car accident or not, type of car (small, SUV, truck), how much you use it (short or long trips), for professional or personnal purposes,…

For that matter, it is important to find the right insurer for you: the right price for the right protection. But it may be not that easy to find the right pricing. If you want to get a good car insurance, you need to browse the internet (it may be a long process though…) to find the right car insurer for you. You would be pissed if you realized that you paid $200 more for the same auto insurance, right ?

Never forget that car insurance is key: it helps you financially cover potential auto damages, loss or injuries. They usually offer good protection if you injured someone in a car accident. This could potentially costs you thousands of dollars. It could be the same if you get injured.

What does an electric fuel pump do, well, apart from stopping when an accident occurs it delivers the right volume of fuel to the fuel injection system at the right pressure.

Any experienced mechanic will tell you that the most common cause of no-start that he has encountered is the in-tank electric fuel pumps not working properly.

The most common reason for the electric fuel tank tanking is neglecting scheduled maintenance and cleaning the fuel filter. A choked filter impedes the flow of fuel from the pump, thereby damaging it. A filter should ideally be replaced every 24 months or 24,000 miles. Fuel filters do not cost more than $100-$110. A fuel pump replacement can be almost 7-8 times more expensive.

A filled tank helps to keep the fuel pump cool. You should try and keep the tank more than 1/4th full at all times and anytime you happen to run the pump with an empty tank, be prepared to shop for a new pump. A full tank also prevents the pump from sucking in sediments from the bottom, if the strainer at the pump inlet gets clogged, it will reduce the flow of fuel into the pump, which can lead to overheating of the pump and subsequent failure.

Keep your eyes and ears open for tell-tale signs that all is not well with your fuel pump. The pump may emit an uncharecteristic whine, the car may stall or the engine may not start at all. Head for the nearest service station without delay if you do not want to aggaravate the problem.
